A dated 2004 builder-grade master bathroom converted into a spa-inspired retreat with a curbless walk-in shower, heated tile floors, and custom double vanity.
The original master bathroom had a fiberglass tub/shower combo that the homeowners never used as a tub, a single-sink vanity with limited counter space, vinyl flooring showing wear, and basic builder-grade fixtures throughout. The layout wasted space on the unused tub while the shower felt cramped.
We removed the tub/shower combo and reconfigured the layout to create a spacious curbless walk-in shower with a linear drain, frameless glass enclosure, and dual showerheads. A custom 72-inch double vanity with quartz top replaced the single sink. Heated porcelain tile was installed throughout, with a decorative mosaic accent in the shower niche. New recessed LED lighting with a dimmer was added for ambiance.
The bathroom now feels twice as large despite the same footprint. The curbless shower is accessible and elegant, the dual vanity eliminates morning conflicts, and the heated floors make the space comfortable year-round — particularly valuable during Idaho winters.

“It feels like a hotel bathroom now. The heated floors in the winter are amazing, and the walk-in shower was the best decision we made. Worth every penny.”
