Terms Stated Up Front
Every posting says what it pays and how — $25 an hour for the office assistant, commission on net profit for the 1099 project manager role, pay based on experience for the trades. Nothing is left to the interview.
Employee and Contractor Roles
The carpenter, painter, tile installer and estimator roles are full-time employee positions. The project manager role is a 1099 independent contractor position with no benefits. Each posting says which it is.

Our office runs Mon–Fri: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, closed weekends. Field schedules are built around that week.

Skilled Trades
Carpenters, tile installers, painters, siding installers, deck builders, flooring specialists
2+ years experience preferred. Your own Idaho contractor registration is a plus.
Project Management
Project managers, estimators, production coordinators
Experience managing residential remodeling projects in the Boise area.
Apprentices & Helpers
Construction helpers, apprentice carpenters, painting assistants
No experience required. Must be reliable, physically capable, and eager to learn.
Office & Admin
Office coordinators, marketing assistants, bookkeeping support
Experience in construction or home services industry preferred.

Skills Training
Installation methods change — fastening systems, waterproofing assemblies, code requirements. We keep up with the current published instructions for the products we install, and you learn them on the job.
Leadership Path
Advancement from crew member to lead carpenter to project manager. We would rather fill a role from the field than from an advert.
Credentials You Bring
Some roles ask for a credential up front — the lead carpenter posting asks for OSHA 10 or a willingness to obtain it. Tell us what you hold and what you are working toward; we do not pretend to sponsor programmes we have not run.

Do I need experience to work at Iron Crest Remodel?
Experience is preferred for skilled trade positions — the current carpenter posting asks for five or more years, the painter and tile installer postings for three. We also talk to motivated helpers with no prior construction experience, where training happens on the job alongside a crew lead. A strong work ethic and reliability matter most.
What does each role pay, and what are the terms?
Terms differ by role and each posting states them in full rather than describing a company-wide package. The office assistant role pays $25 per hour, part-time to start and full-time after a two-month trial. The project manager role is a 1099 independent contractor position paid 20–40% commission of the net profit on each job, with no benefits, no hourly wage and no salary. Can an established trade company work with Iron Crest?
Yes. Trade companies and crews with their own insurance and, where the trade requires one, their own Idaho licence can apply through the trade partner inquiry page. It asks for the registration, licence and insurance details we need on file before a first project, which the individual application form does not capture.
What is the work schedule at Iron Crest Remodel?
Our standard work schedule is Monday through Friday during daylight hours. Overtime opportunities are available during peak season. We believe rested crews do the best work, so we maintain reasonable schedules and provide paid time off and holidays.
