Who checks our guides and service pages, where the facts come from, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Our service pages, city and neighborhood pages, remodeling guides, cost guides, the Idaho Remodeling Guide and our resource articles are reviewed by George Shvaya, Builder & Remodeler, Operations at Iron Crest Remodel. George has seven years in remodeling and construction, and he orders the materials and keeps the schedule on our projects, so he checks each page against how we actually plan, permit and build a job.
A “Reviewed by” line means George read the page and confirmed it matches how we work. It does not mean he wrote every word. The date next to it is the date of that review.
Code, permit and fee statements are written from the issuing body's own published material: the City of Boise and the other Treasure Valley building departments, the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL), the codes Idaho has adopted, and the manufacturer's installation instructions for a product. Most guides list these sources at the bottom of the page so you can check them yourself.
Where a rule depends on your jurisdiction or a source does not settle the question, the page says so and tells you who to call. Those offices have the final word, not us.
Cost figures come from one set of ranges we keep for each service and city, so the same job shows the same range on every page. They are ranges, not quotes. Your price comes from a written estimate for your home.
You can get a rough number for your own project with our cost calculator.
- Idaho registers residential contractors rather than licensing them. We describe Iron Crest as a registered contractor (DOPL registration RCE-6681702), not a licensed one. See Registration & Insurance.
- We name the brands we install, but we do not claim a certification or dealer designation with a manufacturer unless we hold it.
- We do not add star-rating markup for search engines. Where we show a review count, it carries the date we read it and links to the public profile.
- Warranty terms are stated in one place, on our warranty page.
If you find something wrong or out of date, email info@ironcrestremodel.com or call (208) 779-5551. Tell us the page and what needs fixing. We check it against the source and update the page, and the review date changes when George reviews it again.
