Iron Crest Remodel provides free estimates for all residential remodeling projects across the Treasure Valley. Here are the services we estimate most often.
We believe the best contractor-homeowner relationships start with trust, not sales pressure. Here's what our free estimate process guarantees.
No deposit or payment required to receive an estimate
No follow-up calls pressuring you to sign — we send the proposal and let you decide on your timeline
Fixed-price contract means the estimate price is the final price — no bait-and-switch
Itemized line items so you can compare our estimate against other contractors apples-to-apples
All permits, inspections, and cleanup included in the estimate — no hidden add-on fees
5-year workmanship warranty included with every project at no additional cost
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. Our in-home consultation and detailed estimate are completely free with no obligation. There is no fee, no deposit required, and no pressure to sign. We invest this time because we believe informed homeowners make better decisions — and we want to earn your business by demonstrating our expertise before you commit to anything.
How long does the consultation take?
The in-home consultation typically lasts 60–90 minutes. During this visit, a project manager measures your space, assesses existing conditions (plumbing, electrical, structural), discusses your design preferences, reviews your budget range, and answers your questions. Larger projects like whole-home renovations or multi-room bundles may take slightly longer.
How quickly will I receive my estimate?
After your in-home consultation, you will receive a written scope summary within one week. A detailed, fixed-price proposal with itemized costs, material specifications, project timeline, and warranty details follows within 5–7 business days. Complex projects with custom design elements may take slightly longer to ensure accuracy.
What is included in the estimate?
Every Iron Crest estimate includes a detailed, itemized breakdown of labor costs, material costs, permit fees, and project timeline. You will see exactly what is included in each line item — no vague allowances or hidden fees. The estimate also includes material specifications (brand, model, color), a project calendar with milestones, and warranty details for both workmanship and materials.
Will the final price match the estimate?
Iron Crest provides fixed-price contracts. The price in your signed contract is your final price unless you request changes to the scope of work. We do not issue surprise change orders. If unexpected conditions are discovered during construction (such as hidden water damage or outdated wiring), we document the issue, explain the options, and provide a written change order for your approval before proceeding.
Do I need to prepare anything for the consultation?
You don't need to have everything figured out — that's our job. However, having a general idea of the project scope (which rooms or areas), your timeline preferences, a rough budget range, and any inspiration images (Pinterest boards, magazine clippings) helps us make the most of the visit. If you're emailing us first, photos of the current space are helpful but not required.
What types of projects do you estimate?
We provide free estimates for all residential remodeling projects including kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, shower remodeling, whole-home renovations, basement remodeling, exterior painting, siding installation, window replacement, deck building, home additions, ADU construction, flooring installation, and bundled renovation packages. If you are unsure whether your project qualifies, call us and we will let you know.
Can I get an estimate over the phone or email?
We can provide rough budget ranges over the phone based on project type and size, but accurate estimates require an in-home visit. Every home has unique conditions — plumbing access, electrical capacity, structural layout, and existing material conditions — that significantly affect pricing. The in-home consultation ensures your estimate reflects your actual home, not industry averages.
