Full Exterior Repaint in Kuna

The home was built in 2015 with a single-tone tan builder paint that had faded significantly on the south and west elevations after 10 years of Idaho sun exposure. The original paint was peeling on the garage door trim and fascia boards, and the caulking at window and corner trim joints had cracked and separated. The HOA had approved a repaint but required the color scheme to be submitted and approved before work began.

We started with thorough preparation: power washing the entire exterior, scraping all loose paint, sanding rough areas, re-caulking every window and trim joint with 50-year elastomeric caulk, and spot-priming bare wood. We worked with the homeowners to select a modern three-color scheme — Sherwin-Williams Dovetail (body), Pure White (trim and fascia), and Iron Ore (accents, shutters, and front door). Two full coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration exterior paint were applied to all surfaces. The garage doors received a specialized garage door paint for flexibility.

The home went from forgettable builder tan to a striking modern exterior that stands out in the neighborhood. The three-color scheme adds depth and architectural interest that the single-tone original never had. Multiple neighbors have since requested the color codes, and the homeowners say it feels like a brand-new house every time they pull into the driveway.
